Stormwater requirements are an important part of property ownership and development in Duluth. Many commercial and residential properties include permanent stormwater Best Management Practices (BMPs), which are subject to  annual inspection, maintenance, and reporting requirements  under city code.

February’s Lunch & Learn, sponsored by  The Title Team, will be led by staff from the  City of Duluth Public Works & Utilities  and hosted by the  Lake Superior Area REALTORS®. The session will provide a practical overview of Duluth’s  Private Stormwater Permanent BMP Inspection & Maintenance Program, with an emphasis on real-world responsibilities and common compliance issues.

Topics will include:

  • What qualifies as a permanent stormwater BMP

  • Who is responsible for inspections, maintenance, and annual reporting

  • What the inspection and documentation process looks like

  • Common compliance issues and how to avoid them

This session will be offered  both in person and virtually  and is designed for REALTORS®, property owners, developers, business operators, and partner organizations seeking a clearer understanding of stormwater compliance in Duluth.

 

Lunch will be provided for in-person attendees.
