Participants will explore recent changes to industry standards and rules, along with the legal requirements for properly forming agreements. The course highlights best practices for addressing common and unique contractual challenges, including compensation, disclosure obligations, and other critical issues. It also covers seller and licensee disclosure responsibilities, including material facts, exceptions, statutory requirements, and REALTORS® Code of Ethics standards. For brokers, additional topics include contract default and cancellation procedures, CIC (Common Interest Community) disclosure requirements, agency law, and broker-to-broker compensation agreements, offering a deeper dive into the complexities of managing contracts in a supervisory role.
